Chuk E (pronounced Choc E) is a Nigerian singer and songwriter signed to Green Label Entertainment. His music influences include Chris Brown, Bob Marley, 2face and Phyno. Most of his songs can be categorized as Afro-pop or R&B.
‘Shokiri’ is his first official hit single and is receiving massive airplay on radio stations in many parts of Nigeria including Hot Fm, Kiss Fm, Cool Fm, Wazobia Fm and Beat Fm. It premiered on the ‘Hot or Not’ show on Hot 98.3 Fm in Abuja in October 2014 and was voted HOT by callers and tweeters respectively.
The success of ‘Shokiri’ has prompted the shooting of a music video which will be released in the coming weeks (Download Teaser video below). Watch out for this. Chuk E performed at the MBGA (Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja) pageant in October 2014. He is definitely an act to watch out for in 2015.
